LWA Gives Canadian Advertisers a Heads Up

Canadian Internet advertisers have a new source for information on the activities of their competitors. New York-based Leading Web Advertisers is establishing a Canadian presence, setting up shop in Toronto. The company has been operating in the U.S. for the past two years, producing customized tracking reports on paid Web advertising. The service is aimed at advertising agencies, Web sites or anyone in need of web site monitoring. Senior vice president Carole Tracey is heading LWA's Canadian operation. She said a number of clients are currently testing LWA's service in Canada including 24/7 Media and Stockhouse, which is already a LWA client in the U.S. Tracey said the company will officially launch north of the border on February 15. LWA has additional offices in London, Beijing and San Francisco. Public relations for LWA in Canada are being handled by McMahon Communications of Whitby, Ontario.
